At least 45 children from one middle school in northern Israel have tested positove for the coronavirus. It is beleived to be the Delta variant, and may be connected to members of a family in the school community that recently returned from a trip abroad. Only a small number of the students, who have only recenlty become eligible for vaccination, exhibited any symptoms, and they were mild. The outbreak comes days after 11 students at a school in Modiin in central Israel tested positive of the coronavirus, putting 140 children into quarantine.
