The first Afghan citizens to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine, donated by India, were doctors, security officers and journalists, AFP reported. Conflict between the government and the Taliban, responsible for nearly daily attacks, has been one factor in slowing the rollout of the vaccination campaign.
