Biden announces new vaccine mandates

US President Joe Biden announced new coronavirus mandates on Thursday, which would require all businesses with more than 100 employees to require all workers to be immunized or tested weekly. Biden also signed an executive order requiring all federal employees to be vaccinated without an option for regular testing, He also ordered all staff members of Head Start programs, the Defense Department and federally operated schools for Native Americans to be vaccinated. Biden also said that he would require most health-care facilities that accept Medicare or Medicaid funding to vaccinate their employees. Biden criticized Americans who refused to get vaccinated, and said that they are harming others. “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin,” Biden said. “And your refusal has cost all of us.”
