British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was preparing to announce a way out of the national lockdown on Monday, a day after announcing that it would give every adult in the country a first dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus by July 31. The target date is a month earlier than previously announced. Britain is delaying giving second vaccine doses until 12 weeks after the first does in an effort to provide partial protection to more people. Under the reopening plan, children will return to school on March 8 and nursing homes will allow one visitor per resident, as well as outdoor socializing of up to six people or two households.
