Egypt receives 1.6 million vaccine doses from US via COVAX

Egypt received 1.6. million doses of the Pfizer vaccine against the coronavirus as a gift from the United States. The vaccine are, the first shipment out of a total of 5 million doses that are scheduled to arrive in Egypt as part of the COVAX program that provides vaccines to countries that are too poor or unable to procure the vaccines for themselves. Egypt has received vaccines from AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sputnik, Johnson & Johnson, and Sinovac, which it is producing locally, Reuters reported.
