The United States Food and Drug Administration said that three pediatric dose of Pfizer’s vaccine against the coronavirus appears to be safe and effective for children under the age of 5. According to the FDA, children who received the Pfizer shots during testing developed high levels of antibodies against the coronavirus. The shots are each one-tenth the dose given to adults; the first two doses will be given three weeks apart, and the third at least two months later.
