At least 45 cases of the coronavirus have been diagnosed in recent days in people connected to the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and the first case has been diagnosed in the Olympic athletes village, where most of the athletes will be staying. The first positive case in the Olympic village was announced on Saturday by Tokyo 2020 CEO Toshiro Muto, who did not name the nationality of the athlete. Earlier this month the Olympic committee decided to ban spectators from the Olympic events.
