Iran puts Tehran under lockdown to stop virus spread
Tehran is under a week-long lockdown beginning on Tuesday, as Iran faces a surge in new cases of the coronavirus. It is the fifth lockdown since the start of the pandemic. The lockdown covering the province of Tehran and the province of Alborz will include markets and bazaars; public offices; and movie theaters, gyms and restaurants. Iran had 25,441 reported new cases and 213 deaths on Monday.
