Iran, the country in the Middle East hardest hit by the coronavirus, announced over the weekend that it has fully vaccinated 44 million people, out of a population of 85 million. Most of Iran’s vaccine doses come from China, the Sinopharm vaccine. Iran also officially began in June to use its domestically produced COVIran Barekat vaccine.
