Israel delays opening to vaccinated travelers after jump in cases

Israel’s government voted to postpone the opening of its borders to individual vaccnated tourists after a large jump in cases of the coronavirus, which is believed to be due to the contagious delta variant. The government delayed the country’s opening to vaccinated tourists from July 1 to AUgust, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. In addition, the Cabinet agreed to reinstate the indoor mask mandate if there are an average of 100 new virus cases a day for a week. The government also reinstituted the coronavirus cabinet.
