Israel to send vaccines to PA, several countries
Israel will transfer a “symbolic quantity” of doses of vaccine against the coronavirus to the Palestinian Authority, the Prime Minister’s Office said on Tuesday. The doses will be used to vaccinate medical personnel, the announcement said. According to the statement, Israel “has received many requests for assistance in supplying vaccines,” from countries around the world. “Israel is not producing vaccines itself and has informed respondents that the quantities that were ordered by Israel are for the vaccination of its population; no ability to render significant assistance is anticipated at least until the vaccines campaign in Israel will have ended,” the statement said. Other countries that reportedly will receive several thousand doses each from Israel are the Czech Republic, Honduras, Guatemala and Hungary.
