Israeli researchers find one Pfizer shot 85% effective
One shot of the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 85% effective, according to a study based on 9,000 health care workers at Sheba Medical Center in Israel. The study was published in the medical journal The Lancet on Thursday. The results of the study points to the possibility of spacing out the doses. According to the study, cases of the coronavirus dropped by 85 percent in the 15- to 28-day period after the first dose. Most of those studied were young and healthy, however.
