Israel’s R-value rises, meaning virus cases on the rise

The basic reproduction number for the coronavirus in Israel increased to 1.02, which means that the number of cases of the virus is rising, The R-value is the average number of people that each person with the virus infects with the coronavirus. It is the first time that the reproduction rate has hit 1 since early September. Israel’s Health Ministry Director-General Nachman Ash said no new restrictions will be imposed right now, though reports say that the government will review restrictions on events for Hanukkah, such as the Green Pass to get in to such events,.
