Mexico sets new daily record for coronavirus infections

Mexico hit another daily record for new coronavirus cases on Saturday with over 16,100 new infections. Over 1,130 people died from COVID-19 on the same day. The country has reported more than 133,000 coronavirus-related deaths but officials fear it is higher due to low testing levels. Mexico has begun vaccinating its population, reaching 75,000 out of a population of over 130 million.
