More than 3 million Africans are confirmed to have been infected by COVID-19, the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Sunday. More than 72,000 people in Africa have died from the virus. South Africa accounts for more than 30% of the illnesses with over 1.2 million infected people and more than 32,800 deaths.
