Morocco will close its borders to all incoming air travel for the next two weeks to prevent the spread of the omicron variant. The country also closed its borders in 2020 at the start of the pandemic out of fear of overburdening its health system. Some 66% of Morocco’s population have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Morocco’s national carrier Air Maroc is scheduled to begin direct flights between Rabat and Tel Aviv in two weeks.
