Oman orders full lockdown to prevent virus spread during Eid
Oman has slapped a full lockdown on the country to precent the spread of the coronvirus during the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday. The restrictions, inlcuding a ban on business activities and a ban on the free movement of individuals and vehicles, is in effect until July 24, the end of the festival. The lockdown inclludes a ban on family reuntions and gatherings to celebrate Eid, according to the sultanate’s Supreme Committee, tasked with addressing COVID-19 concerns and issues.
