Pfizer submits vaccine trial data for children ages 5 to 11

Pfizer has submitted to United States regulators its initial trial data on vaccinating children ages 5 to 11 against the coronavirus. The pharmaceutical company said it also would submit its data to the European Medicines Agency and other regulatory authorities. It has not yet asked for an emergency use authorization for the vaccine for children but could do so in the coming weeks. The dose tested for children is about one-third of the amount currently given to adults and teens.
