Smaller ‘hajj’ begins in Saudi Arabia
A scaled-down hajj began in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. The kingdom is allowing just 10,000 Muslims to attend the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, amounting to 0.4% of last year’s 2.5 million attendees from across the globe. The only non-Saudis allowed to attend are those residing in the country.
