The South Africa-based Biovac company will produce the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine under a deal announced on Wednesday by the Phizer and BioNTech companies. According to the companies, the installation of equipment and technical transfer will begin immediately, followed by the arrival of the ingredients to manufacture the vaccines. Finished doses will be completed begining in 2022. The doses, an expected 100 million per year, will be distributed to member states of the African Union.
