Study: More infectious version of coronavirus in US
A global study has found strong evidence that a mutation of the coronavirus that is more infectious has traveled from Europe to the United States and is now the dominant form of the disease. The international team of researchers reported their findings Thursday from the study published in the journal Cell. While the mutation spreads faster, it doesn’t appear to make people sicker than the previous version of the virus.
