Syrian President Bashar Assad reportedly received a vaccination against the coronavirus after Syria received a first shipment of the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine. Senior leaders of the country and doctors got the first shots. The arrival of the shipmment in Syrua was reported on Thursday by Russia’s Interfax news agency, citing the Syrian ambassador to Russia. It is not known how many doses of the vaccine were included in the shipment.
