US economy posts worst drop on record
The economy of the United States contracted by 32.9% from April to June, its worst drop on record, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said on Thursday. The decision to shut down the economy to curb the coronavirus outbreak plunged the US into its first recession in 11 years.
