US will open borders with Canada, Mexico for vaccinated travelers

The United States announced that it will open its borders with Canada and Mexico beginning next month for those who are fully vaccinated. The travelers must provide proof of vaccination, according to Tuesday’s announcement. Restrictions on overseas travel to the United States due to the coronavirus are also expected to be lifted soon for fully vaccinated tourists, according to reports. The restrictions had applied to nonessential travel, including tourism or family visits. Essential travelers, including truck drivers and students, have been allowed to enter the US. Begining in January these essential travelers also will be required to present proof of vaccination.
