Vatican employees who do not get a vaccine against the coronavirus could lose their jobs. Employees who can not get a vaccine due to legitimate health reasons may be reassigned to a new position in which they do not come into contact with other people. The seven-page decree was issued earlier this month by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello. Several thousand people work in Vatican City.
