A car-ramming attack outside the northern Israeli town of Karkur injured 10 people on Thursday afternoon. An attacker drove into pedestrians waiting at a bus stop at Karkur Junction, near Route 65, then fled the scene toward Gan Shmuel before ramming into a police patrol car. The suspect was then shot and killed by police.
Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for possible accomplices.

The victims were taken to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera. According to hospital officials, one person remains in critical condition, two are seriously wounded, and others sustained moderate or minor injuries. Medical teams on-site provided emergency care, including stopping bleeding and immobilizing injuries.
Orly Keinan, a medic with Magen David Adom, described the scene as “severe.” “When we arrived with large forces, we saw the injured, some of whom were lying on a dirt mound behind the bus stop,” she said.
The attacker’s identity remains in dispute. Some Israeli media sources, citing police, reported he was a 24-year-old Israeli Arab from Ma’ale Iron with no prior criminal or security record. Other reports identified him as a 50-year-old Palestinian who was in Israel illegally.
Security forces remain on high alert following the attack.
