2 Israeli Victims of West Bank Drive-By Attack Remain in ICU

Two victims of a drive-by shooting at a traffic junction in the northern West Bank remained in the intensive care unit of a central Israel hospital. The two 19-year-old students at a West Bank yeshiva were shot in the head and chest on Sunday afternoon at the Tapuah junction near the city of Ariel. A third student was lightly injured.

Security has been increased in the area. Israel Defense Forces troops are continuing to search for the shooters, who were driving a gray Hyundai.

Hamas and Palestinain Islamic Jihad praised the attack, but did not take credit for it. The attack came hours after a Palestinian woman brandishing a knife at Israeli soldiers at the Gush Etzion junction was shot and later died as a result.
