2 Rockets Strike Air Base in Iraq Housing US-Led Troops
Two rockets were fired on an air housing US-led coalition troops at Baghdad airport. One of the rockets was intercepted by an anti-missile defense system, the French news agency AFP reported. It was the second attack in 10 days.
Three rockets struck the area of the airport base in which Iraqi troops were housed in an attack last week.
No group has claimed responsibility, but the US blames these kinds of attacks on Iraq factions loyal to Iran.
Some 2,500 US troops remain in Iraq.
