3 Palestinian Fisherman Killed Off Gaza Coast

Three Palestinian fisherman were killed while working off the coast of Gaza.

The men, who were related, were killed Sunday when a shell fell on their boat and exploded, the official WAFA news agency reported.

The Israel Defense Forces in a statement after the announcement of the fishermens’ deaths said that it was not responsible for their deaths and that the explosion was caused from inside Gaza. The Gaza interior ministry said it was investigating the incident.

Hamas reportedly was test-firing rockets toward the sea on Sunday morning.
