Some 14 Civilians Killed in Houthi Strike on Yemen
At least 14 civilians were killed by a missile strike on a gas station in Marib in northern Yemen. At least five of the victims reportedly were children, Reuters reported. Several people also were injured.
The strike on Saturday on the gas station, was blamed on Houthi rebel forces. They are accused of using a ballistic missile and an explosives-laden drone to carry out the attack.
Marib is the international recognized Yemen government’s last stronghold in the north of the country.
Also on Saturday, the Saudi Arabia-backed coalition in support of the Yemen government intercepted a Houthi drone targeting the southwestern Saudi city of Khamis Mushait, located on the border with Yemen. It is the latest of several such drone attacks by the Iran-backed Houthis on Saudi Arabia.
