Bennett Meets in Jerusalem With US Republican Congressmen

Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with a delegation of Republican US congressmen on Monday. The delegation, led by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, was organized by AIPAC. Bennett “discussed a range of issues with the delegation regarding his diplomatic and security outlook including regional issues, especially the nuclear talks in Vienna,” according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.

The prime minister “thanked the members of the congressional delegation for their strong support of Israel and emphasized the importance of the dialogue between the government in Israel and both sides of the political map in the US.”

Bennett met earlier this month in Jerusalem with US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, who led a delegation of Democratic congressmen to Israel.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz met later on Monday with the delegation.
