Thirteen Pakistani nationals, including eight children, died in a fire overnight at a farm in Jordan. A Jordanian first responder said the fire may have resulted from an electrical spark in a compound of corrugated-tin huts that reportedly housed two families. The farm is located near the village of al-Shuna al-Janobia in the northern part of the fertile Jordan Valley, which shares a north-south border with Israel. Three other people were treated for injuries, including burns. The farms, many of them large estates, are known for employing foreign workers. Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Razzaz ordered the Interior and Health ministries to investigate.
