The Israeli military intercepted three rockets fired from Lebanon on Saturday morning, triggering air raid sirens in the border town of Metula. In response , Defense Minister Israel Katz vowed to hold the Lebanese government accountable for any attacks originating from its territory.
“We will not tolerate attacks on Galilee communities from Lebanon. Our commitment to their security stands firm,” Katz said. The Israeli military later said it would launch a strong response to the attack.
Israel’s Army Radio reported that Israeli forces retaliated with artillery fire and airstrikes, hitting multiple towns in southern Lebanon, including Yahmar al-Shaqif, Arnoun, and Kfar Tebnit. Lebanon’s state-run news agency confirmed that artillery strikes targeted two towns, while airstrikes struck three others.

The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam warned that escalating violence could lead to renewed military operations. “All security and military measures must be taken to show that Lebanon decides on matters of war and peace,” Salam said.
Israel’s Home Front Command noted that no changes have been made to security regulations in northern Israel.
The attacks from Lebanon came just one day after Yemen’s Houthis claimed responsibility for firing a ballistic missile at central Israel in the fourth such attack this week. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree warned that Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport was “no longer safe for air travel” and vowed continued attacks until Israel ends its military operations in Gaza.
According to the Israeli military, the Houthi missile was successfully shot down before entering Israeli territory. The Israeli interception triggered sirens throughout central Israel.
