Iran, Qatar Sign 14 Bilateral Agreements as Raisi Visits Doha

Iran and Qatar signed several bilateral cooperation agreements on Monday. The deals were signed during a visit to Doha by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the first visit to Qatar by an Iranian president in 11 years. Raisi said that he hoped the visit would improve ties with other regional Arab states and that his country’s goal is regional convergence.”

Qatar and Iran signed 14 agreements in the fields of aviation, trade, shipping, media, cancellation of visa requirements, electricity, standards, education, and culture.

Raisi was scheduled to attend a gas exporters’ summit in Doha on Tuesday.
