Iran Ready for ‘Full-fledged’ War against US

A top Iranian commander threatened that Tehran was prepared for a “full-fledged” war against the United States; this, after Washington accused the Islamic Republic of orchestrating Saturday’s coordinated drone strikes on Saudi oil assets. Iranian media quoted the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as saying that, “everybody should know that all American bases and their aircraft carriers in a distance of up to 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) around Iran are within the range of our missiles.” Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s energy minister said the kingdom was temporarily halting oil production at the two facilities targeted by at least ten drones, a move that would cut Riyadh’s output by some 5.7 million barrels per day, or about half of its total output. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo described Iran’s alleged “aggression” as an “unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply.”
