Israel has joined the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence. Israel became the 20th country to join the alliance, during its annual meeting in Paris on Thursday. The organization, led by France and Canada, was founded two years ago to and counts democratic countries with advanced artificial intelligence technologies among its members. The founding members are: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union.
The goal of the organization, which calls itself “an international initiative to promote responsible AI use that respects human rights and democratic values,” is to “facilitate international collaboration, reduce duplication between governments, and act as a global reference point on discussions on responsible AI,” according to its website.
