Some 60 Israeli Arabs, as well as Jews, demonstrated against US President Donald Trump’s Israeli-Palestinian peace plan on June 25 outside the former US embassy in Tel Aviv, saying the plan would prevent Palestinians from ever gaining statehood. The protestors chanted and waved Palestinian flags. Hadash Knesset member Aida Tuma Suleiman was one of the protest organizers. “We think that [there will be] no prosperity. There is no good economic situation under occupation. Without getting rid of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territory, the true people of this country will continue to suffer,” Suleiman told The Media Line. The White House is currently presenting its $50 billion “Peace to Prosperity” plan in Manama, Bahrain, led by President Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor, Jared Kushner. The conference is focusing on improving the economic situation for Palestinians and ends Wednesday evening.
