Israeli Forces Kill 14 Palestinians in Tense West Bank Military Operation

Israeli forces on Saturday killed 14 Palestinians during a prolonged military raid near Tulkarm in the West Bank. The operation, which started early on Friday in the Nur Shams area, led to one of the highest fatality incidents in the region in recent months.

Palestinian health authorities reported the casualties, which included a gunman and a 16-year-old boy, amidst continuing clashes between Israeli troops and Palestinian fighters. Israeli military sources confirmed the deaths and arrests of several Palestinians during the Tulkarm operation and reported that at least four soldiers were wounded.

Concurrently, tensions escalated further when a Palestinian ambulance driver, aged 50, was fatally shot near the village of Al-Sawiya, south of Nablus. He was reportedly heading to assist wounded individuals following an attack by Jewish settlers.

The West Bank has been a central point of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, witnessing regular military raids on terrorist groups, violent rampages by settlers, and sporadic street attacks. Since the onset of the Gaza war, the frequency and intensity of these incidents have increased, leading to numerous arrests and the deaths of many Palestinians, including armed group members, protesting youths, and civilians.
