Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Man during Arafat Memorial March

A Palestinian man was shot and killed during clashes with Israeli security forces Monday morning in the al-Arroub refugee camp, about 7 miles north of Hebron in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry. The man, identified by medical sources as Omar Haitham al-Badawi, 22, was shot in the abdomen near the entrance to the camp, during a march commemorating the 15^th anniversary of the death of the late PLO chairman and Palestinian Authority president, Yasser Arafat. Wafa, the official news agency of the Palestinian Authority, also reports that Israeli forces shot a Palestinian demonstrator in the thigh during clashes at another memorial march for the late Palestinian leader, in al-Fawwar refugee camp, 11 miles south of al-Arroub.
