Israeli Troops in West Bank Kill Palestinian Boy Suspected of Firebombing Cars

Israeli forces shot dead a 14-year-old Palestinian boy, Mohammed Shehadeh, in al-Khader, a town near Bethlehem in the West Bank on Tuesday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. The Israeli military said soldiers opened fire after spotting three suspects throwing firebombs at passing Israeli vehicles and confirmed that one of the suspects was fatally injured. There were, the military said, seven firebombing attacks in that location over the past month. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh condemned the killing of Shehada in a statement to the press, saying that “killing the boy is a crime that violates international law.”
