A large explosion or series of explosions were felt in southern Lebanon early on Thursday morning according to Lebanese media reports, flames were also seen coming from the area. The area of the explosion was between the villages of Deir a-Zahrani and Khomin a-Fuqa, which is held by the Hizbullah terror organization. Hizbullah reportedly immediately closed down the area and did not allow an ambulance to enter. There have not yet been any reports of injuries or deaths.

The cause of the explosion remains unknown. Last month, a Hamas weapons depot in southern Lebanon exploded, killing at least 12 people. Israel rarely strikes Hizbullah targets in Lebanon.
