At least four rockets struck an Iraqi base which hosts US contractors. One contractor was injured in the attack on Saturday on the Balad air base located north of Baghdad. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

The US contractor, identified as defense company Sallyport, is headquartered within the air base and currently has 46 personnel there providing services to support Iraq’s F-16 program, Al Jazeera reported. The contractor was not seriously injured, according to reports.
The attack on Saturday was the second airstrike on the base in less than a week.
