Senior Amazon officials will meet this week with some of Israel’s most prominent importers to set terms that will allow them to sell their products on the Amazon website, according to a report by the Israeli news site Calcalist, which did not cite a source. The meetings will reportedly take place on Monday and Tuesday, focusing on the fees paid to place the products on the website. Last week it was reported that the e-commerce company was beginning activities in Israel and was in talks to open a shipping center in the country. Amazon is also allowing Israeli sellers to display their wares in Hebrew in the wake of the commencement of local activity.
