Syrian Gov’t Forces Kill at Least 15 Civilians in Idlib, Syria

At least 15 civilians at a displaced persons camp, including six children, were killed and around 40 were wounded when Syrian government forces attacked a rebel-held area of Idlib in northwestern Syria on Wednesday, civil defense workers said. The camp, at Kah, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) north of Idlib near the Turkish border, was hit with ground-to-ground missiles, which were launched from the Aleppo area, according to the White Helmets rescue group. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said artillery shelling also hit a maternity hospital in Kah. Hundreds of thousands of people displaced from other parts of Syria by the civil war now live in the region.
