Israeli fired ground-to-ground missiles from the Golan Heights at targets near the town of Zakiya, located south of Damascus, Syrian state media reported. The missiles caused some damage, SANA reported, citing a military source. The attack on Wednesday night is the fourth by Israel on Syria and the second this month, according to the watchdog group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The UK-based human rights watchdog cited unnamed sources as saying the Israeli missiles targeted a building belonging to the 7th Division ground forces that was hosting a meeting of Syrian security and military officials. The building is located on an army base reportedly used by pro-Iranian militias.
