Turkey Plans To Send 1 Million Syrian Refugees Home

Turkey is planning to send one million Syrian refugees back to their home country. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the announcement on Tuesday in a video message. Turkey has built 57,000 homes out of a total of 100,000 in the Idlib area of northeastern Syria for those displaced by the long-running civil war in the country. The Turkish building project will include facilities such as mosques, schools and health centers.

Plans will be drawn up to send the refugees currently in Turkey to the areas of Azaz, Jarablus, Al-Bab, Tal Abyad and Ras Al-Ayn, Bloomberg has reported.

There are some 3.7 million Syrian refugees currently living in Turkey.
