Pilgrims, tourists and the plain curious filled the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday, the day marked as Easter on the Christian calendar.
The church was built in the fourth century on the site of what Catholics and adherents of the various eastern Orthodox faiths believe to be where Jesus was buried on Good Friday, and resurrected from the dead on Easter Sunday.
