The Israeli hi-tech startup Hi Auto has come out with a new system that marries the microphones already in our cars as part of the voice-recognition system, with cameras that will be part of coming driver-monitoring systems. The idea is for one of the cameras to focus on our lips to help isolate our commands from any background noise.
Media Line Senior News Editor Lawrence Rifkin spoke with Roy Baharav, CEO and co-founder of Hi Auto, for details not only on the new system, but also on ways it might be used outside the car.
