A door-to-door search in the port city of Aden in Yemen has resulted in the arrest of at least 30 suspected Al-Qa’ida operatives according to Yemen’s defense ministry. The military operation was mounted after an Al-Qa’ida raid on a police intelligence building by operatives dressed in military uniforms. 11 people, including a 7-year old boy were killed in that attack. Of those arrested in Saturday’s operation, only nine were charged with having ties to the terrorist organization. Al-Qa’ida is urging tribesmen in Yemen to rise up against the government.
