Ahmadi Nejad: Zionists Control World Financial Systems

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad recycled traditional anti-Semitic rantings common in the 1930s as the basis of his speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday. Israeli President Shimon Peres likened Ahmadi Nejad’s accusations to the notorious Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, the iconic anti-Semitic tract that appeared in the early 1900s, accusing Jews of planning to take over the world. The Iranian president accused "a small but deceitful number of people called Zionists … (of) dominating an important portion of the financial and monetary centers as well as the political decision-making centers of some European countries and the U.S." Ahmadi Nejad also had tough words for the United States, proclaiming it to be "near collapsing."
